MSD Solutions Index Pledge Community Report

The MSD Solutions Index is an annual survey launched by the MSD Solutions Lab designed to evaluate an organization's musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) prevention initiatives. It represents the following focus areas of MSD prevention at the organizational level:

Risk reduction
Safety culture
Innovation and collaboration

In its inaugural year, the 2022-2023 Index was completed by 52 organizations. The 2023-2024 report was completed by 44 organizations and includes the following notable findings:

The extent to which human factors were designed into organizations’ work processes is positively correlated with an organization’s overall Index result
Utilizing employee perception surveys was correlated with a stronger overall Index result
Having risk reduction goals leads to a higher score in the risk reduction subsection

Reports for both years are now available and conclude with recommendations and steps to help organizations advance their MSD prevention and mitigation efforts.
