VelocityEHS is more than a software company. We’re expert problem solvers who know how to simplify complex issues to deliver exceptional outcomes. Whether you’re a global enterprise or a smaller organization with big aspirations, a partnership with VelocityEHS provides your team with an approach to EHS & ESG that is smart enough to predict and address your challenges without overwhelming or adding unnecessary complexity. VelocityEHS Ergonomics is an AI-powered software solution designed to help organizations of any size predict and prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), from one to hundreds of locations. It combines a 3D model for the most comprehensive and reliable musculoskeletal risk assessment; an Interactive Posture Risk Timeline that visualizes the moments of highest risk to ensure more effective analysis of the direct causes of MSD risk; embedded expertise to help accurately identify root causes and effective controls; a powerful database to easily manage, track and report on your ergonomics program; online training in multiple languages that will empower your team to find and fix potential problems; and design guidelines to build a better worker environment that proactively reduces injuries and improves worker wellbeing.
How does VelocityEHS measure their technology's effectiveness in the field?
The 3D model of motion capture for the VelocityEHS Ergonomics musculoskeletal disorder risk assessment sets a new standard for quality and comprehensiveness. It incorporates the automated scoring of wrist postures, side bending, back twisting, and data for body regions that are blocked or obstructed from view. The new model was trained on an internally developed dataset of the most common occupation tasks, including assembly, lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling. The accuracy and effectiveness of the 3D model has been evaluated in both a laboratory setting for determining joint angles, as well as by reviewing real-world results in the field. Risk scores from the assessment model were compared to those determined by 19 experienced Certified Professional Ergonomists across varying industrial tasks in diverse work settings. Additionally, customer feedback is continually solicited, and case studies report a reduction of injuries and injury-related costs as a result of implementing ergonomics programs with the VelocityEHS Ergonomics complete software system.
