The Dotson Safety Leadership Award

In a world where workplace safety is paramount, the Dotson Safety Leadership Award stands as a beacon of hope and progress. Established through the generous support of the Kyle B. Dotson Endowment, this prestigious annual award honors one outstanding certified safety professional (CSP) who exemplifies excellence, innovation and leadership in the safety profession. 

With a $10,000 award, national recognition and access to premier NSC events and resources, the Dotson Award is more than a financial grant — it’s a launchpad for emerging leaders committed to building a safer global community. Awardees are celebrated not only for their technical expertise and ethical standards but also for their unwavering dedication to protecting lives and advancing the field of safety.

Through a blind review process, the National Safety Council ensures that each recipient is selected solely on merit, integrity and impact. These emerging leaders are not just practitioners — they are visionaries shaping the future of safety through bold ideas, collaborative spirit and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
