Karen is a safety professional with a passion for creating safe work environments in the construction industry.
Her journey began with earning a certification in occupational safety and health through the UC Davis Professional Development Program and hands-on training at Safety Center. Karen thrives on challenges and takes a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, always striving to educate others and foster a culture of safety.
She hold multiple industry-recognized certifications, including OSHA 510/500, Cal-OSHA 5109, SMP, CHST, STS-C, EM385-1-1, and a 30-hour OSHA certification. Karen is also authorized by the American Safety and Health Institute to teach Adult/Child/Infant First Aid, CPR and AED, a role she values deeply for the personal connection it creates with others.
Karen is vice chair of the NSC Women's Division and the owner of The Safety Advocate.
