Scott Claffey is vice president, specialty products risk control services, for Great West Casualty Company, a subsidiary of Old Republic International Corporation, one of the nation's 50 largest shareholder-owned insurance businesses. He and his team are responsible for safety & risk control operations across the United States, working with the nation’s largest motor carriers.
Scott has over 40 years in the transportation industry, including operational, maintenance, safety and risk management functions. He has served on a variety of public and private research panels, and has been active the National Safety Council since 1994, including the Transportation Safety Division and the Defensive Driving Courses International Advisory Committee.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a member of RIMS, the Risk Management Society, as well as a professional member of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
