National Safety Council Significant Improvement award recognizes companies, locations and divisions with a minimum 20% reduction in injuries and illnesses involving days away from work, and that have maintained or reduced the number of fatalities.
In accordance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements, a company, location or division must have a minimum 20% reduction in injuries and illnesses that involve days away from work based on current calendar year from previous calendar year, Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. Maximum allowable injuries or illnesses that involve days away from work are determined at the discretion of the National Safety Council. Eligibility is determined based on self-reported data submitted by the participant.
If your application is approved, your award will be shipped within four to six weeks. The National Safety Council reserves the right to change, without notice, any statement in the Occupational Awards Program concerning, but not limited to, rules, policies, awards, delivery dates/methods and fees.
